Hartley's not sure what he'd initially been expecting when Cisco asked him on a date, but he's shocked by how well everything has turned out. What at first seemed like a risky and potentially disastrous idea turned out to be one the of the best things to happen to him in a very long time. It's given him the chance to get to know Cisco and learn who he is outside of STAR Labs and away from all the chaos that seems to go hand in hand with dealing with criminals, heroes and metahumans. In one evening Cisco went from someone he can tolerate and even work well with at times to someone he can actually see himself having a future with. Which is surprising on a million different levels, since Hartley hasn't been able imagine himself having any sort of positive future (especially with another person) in a very long time.
But now here he is, taking a chance with someone who not that long ago would have been the last person he would have trusted enough fall head first into a relationship with. A relationship that's off to a pretty good start if the way Cisco's responding to his kiss is anything to go by. Hartley's never had a first kiss grow this intense this quickly before, and he hadn't actually intended for things to progress at such a fast pace. He hadn't had any ulterior motives when he initiated this kiss. But he can't say that he's not pleased about way things are going. It just feels so... right. He wants this, all of it. He wants Cisco's fingers on the back of his neck and his lips warm and firm against his own. He wants to feel Cisco's long, soft hair between his fingers and he wants to give him a reason to moan again. He wants to see where this moment will go.
Hartley's lips part against Cisco's, allowing to kiss to deepen and grow more heated. He's nowhere near ready for this to end yet, so he's choosing to follow Cisco's lead. If Cisco doesn't want this to go too far, he'll understand (he hasn't forgotten that being with a man is still brand new territory for Cisco), but for now he wants to enjoy this for as long as it's allowed to last. And if things do go further between them, well, he certainly won't complain.
