cisco_ramon: (kiss)

The more time Cisco spends with Hartley, the more he realizes what a kind, sensitive soul he is, and it only further drives home why Hartley had been so ready to snap after he'd been rejected not only by his parents but by his mentor (and surrogate father figure) as well. It makes Cisco want to know more about Hartley's childhood, if his parents ever spent time with him and cared for him, or if they did the cliched thing where they hired nannies and tutors to do all of those parental duties for them. Cisco's parents had never been the type to coddle or dote (at least not him), but even as hard as they were on him he'd always felt loved and protected and cared for.

Whatever Hartley's upbringing, there's a part of him that is compassionate and courageous and giving, and even after everything with his family and Dr. Wells those things remain intact. Cisco's getting a front row seat to them tonight, and he wonders if Hartley spent a lot of time keeping others from seeing who he was on the inside, trying to protect himself from being taken advantage of or hurt. The fact that he's letting Cisco see all of that is more of a gift than anything else, and if Cisco wasn't already kissing Hartley, he wouldn't be able to resist showing his gratitude.

But he is kissing Hartley, and it feels amazing in ways Cisco can't make his brain quantify. It gets even better when Hartley sinks his fingers into Cisco's hair, his fingertips grazing Cisco's scalp before sliding through the strands, and Cisco can't help the little moan that rises in the back of his throat. Cisco's hand brushes up the back of Hartley's head, his fingers moving to catch the soft curls at the nape of Hartley's neck, holding them gently as the kiss continues to deepen. Right now it's still only lips involved, but they're shifting and overlapping, pressing in and catching, and it's not long before Cisco can't hold back anymore, his hand flattening on the back of Hartley's head so he can hold him steady, Cisco's mouth pressing in and his tongue reaching to follow the line of Hartley's lower lip. Maybe this is too much too quickly, but Cisco doesn't think it is; if Hartley ends the kiss, he'll back off (and he won't be upset about it), but until that happens (or they run out of breath), Cisco isn't at all interested in stopping.

[ooc: No worries at all! Seriously, I will keep replying to this forever, so don't feel bad if you can't get replies out quickly. I'm not doing so great myself (though mine is mostly due to work stress), so I completely understand. I hope you had fun with your niece and her kids! And that you're getting to relax now that you have your house back to yourself, hee!]
